Do you serve Boise?
Yes. Our crew comes over from Nampa to homes on both sides of the Boise River and around Downtown Boise, for anything from one snapped spring to a new door.
We pick up 24/7, and a true emergency, like a spring that breaks with the car inside, gets priority. Estimates cost nothing, and the price is settled before work starts.
If your garage is detached
A garage at the back of the lot or off an alley works a little differently. That's especially true of one built for smaller cars and simpler doors:
- Low headroom: a low ceiling limits which spring and opener setups fit, so we measure the clearance first.
- Extension springs: if your door lifts on springs along the side tracks, not a torsion spring overhead, they carry dangerous tension too.
- A heavy wood door: it can weigh far more than a newer door, wearing out springs and rollers faster and straining any opener added later.
- No power yet: opener installation needs an outlet near the ceiling, so tell us if the garage has electricity.
Often the fix is small: new rollers and a re-balance, or one damaged section swapped through panel replacement and matched to the door where we can. If the door is past saving, we'll say so plainly and quote a new garage door.

Attached garages on newer homes
If your home is newer, the usual trouble is builder-grade springs and openers wearing out: a torsion spring that snaps on a cold morning, or an opener that grinds and gives up. Spring replacement and opener repair explain how those visits go.
Look, but don't touch
If the door won't move, look in through a side door or window, not from in front of it. A split in the spring's coils, a slack cable or one end of the door sitting low all say the same thing: leave it and call. Never loosen, unwind or remove those parts; they can injure you.
- Don't run the opener. Working against a broken part, it can burn itself out or let the door fall.
- Keep children and pets away, and shut the side door so nobody wanders in.
- Don't take a shortcut through the garage under a stuck or crooked door.
- Leave the red release cord hanging unless the door is down tight or a helper holds it. A released door with a failed spring drops fast.
On the phone, tell us the garage is detached, how to get to it and what the door is doing now. Before leaving, we check the balance, test the sensors and auto-reverse, and sweep up.
