Garage door repair in Eagle

We fix garage doors all over Eagle, whether you live near Eagle Island State Park or closer to Highway 44 or Highway 55: springs, cables, rollers, panels, tracks, seals, Chamberlain openers and new doors.

Emergencies like a snapped spring jump the line. The estimate is free, and we go over the price before a tool comes out. We also serve Star and Boise.

Three-car garages: more doors, more moving parts

A three-car garage usually means a double door plus a single, or three singles, each with its own springs, cables and opener. Doors installed together wear together, so when one spring breaks, the others may follow; mention every door when you call, and we'll check them all.

Wider, heavier doors often use two torsion springs. When one breaks, spring replacement usually covers both so the door stays balanced, and durable high-cycle springs suit the door you use most.

Safety: a door with a snapped spring is unbalanced and can come down fast. Leave its opener off so the motor isn't strained and the door isn't dropped, send children and pets inside, and keep out from under it. The springs and cables are under dangerous tension, so never try loosening, unwinding or removing them, and reach for the red emergency release only if the door is fully down or someone holds it steady.

Panels, dents and the look of the house

With a row of two or three doors, the garage fills much of the house front, so a dent shows. When the rest of the door is sound, panel replacement swaps just the damaged section, matched where possible.

If many sections are dented or the whole door is worn, new garage door installation may be the better path; we'll price both first.

Openers for heavier doors, and keeping it quiet

A heavy door asks more of an opener. If it hums, strains or reverses halfway, the door's balance may be the cause, not the motor, so we check the springs first. If the opener itself is failing, a new Chamberlain myQ unit through opener installation adds phone control, with force settings matched to the door.

If a bedroom sits over your garage, every rattle carries upstairs. Quiet nylon rollers, fresh lubrication and a balanced door help most; a tune-up handles the lubrication and adjustments. Long bottom seals on wide doors wear unevenly and let in drafts and dust; weather seal replacement fixes that.

FAQ

Common questions

One of our doors won't close at night. What should we do?

Look at its spring and cables without touching them; if you see a gap or loose cable, leave the opener off and call. Otherwise, check that the sensor lights are steady and unblocked, then try the wall button; if it still won't shut, call us, since a door stuck open overnight gets priority.

The spring broke on our double door. Can we still use the other doors?

Usually, yes. Each door has its own springs, cables and opener, so the others are fine if they run normally; leave the broken one's opener off and stay out from under it.

A car bumped the door and now it binds. Can we keep using it?

Please don't. Running the opener on a bent track or damaged section can twist the door or pull it off the track; we'll inspect it and explain the repair.

Our wide door rattles when the wind picks up. Should we worry?

Some flex is normal on a wide door, but loose hinges, worn rollers or a loose track let it bang in a gust. A tune-up tightens the hardware, and we'll point out any cracked section or bent track.
