Garage door and opener repair in Star
Our crew services doors and openers along the Highway 44 corridor through Star, on both sides of Star Road. We fix sensors, springs, cables, rollers and dented panels and install Chamberlain openers.
We drive out from Nampa with ladders, impact drills and spare torsion springs on board. Estimates cost nothing, and we talk the price through before any work begins.
When the door reverses or won't close
Safety sensors sit low on each side of the door, right where bikes, trash bins and yard tools bump them out of line. When the beam between them is blocked or misaligned, the opener reverses a closing door or won't close it at all.
Opener repair covers sensor alignment, force settings, remotes and keypads while the motor still runs. If the motor is failing or lacks features you want, opener installation puts in a Chamberlain myQ opener with a wireless keypad, then we test the sensors and auto-reverse.

Safe checks before you call
- Look first, touch nothing: if the spring above the door has a gap or a cable hangs loose, stop and call us
- Check both sensor lights; a dark or blinking one usually means a blocked or misaligned sensor
- Wipe the sensor lenses and move anything in their path
- Make sure the lock feature on the wall control is off
- Try a fresh battery in the remote
A broken spring or cable is under enough tension to cause serious injury, so loosening, unwinding or removing it is our job. Leave the opener off, since running it can ruin the motor or drop the door; move children and pets well away, and stay out from under a stuck or tilted door. The red emergency release can drop a door with a broken spring in a hurry, so pull it only on a shut door or while a helper holds it.
Dents and matching panels
Bumpers and bikes dent bottom sections, even on a young door. Panel replacement matches the existing door where possible, which matters on a street where the houses share a look. If there's no match, we'll say so first. We also work in nearby Eagle and Middleton.

Builder-grade parts worth upgrading
Builder parts work on move-in day but are rarely chosen to last. Standard torsion springs have a limited cycle rating that a busy two- or three-car garage uses up quickly, and many worn springs give out on a cold winter morning. A spring replacement can use durable high-cycle springs, and quiet nylon rollers from roller replacement end the grinding.
